Barkvall 4700 is an automatic machine system for pumping, dosing and dispensing 3-component adhesives such as Polyurethane. The system is designed for sandwich panel production, commonly used when producing truck bodies, caravans and Structural Insulated Panels (sip), where an even and accurate adhesive spreading is required. Barkvall 4700 helps to increase production speed, reduce material waste and improve the working environment for the operator.
The machine moves on rails and consists of an adhesive station and a metering and dispensing unit. The rails make it possible to extend the working tables to allow for future upscaling production. Due to the arm with 180° turn function, it’s possible to have working tables on both sides of the machine. The arm is rotated with a wireless remote control and the operator can work at the table as the machine moves forward or is operating on the opposite table.
The adhesive is applied with a moving spreader according to a chosen recipe. Each recipe can be stored and are easily accessed when needed on the operator panel.
The spreader and mixer are disposable and can be thrown after use. Thus, the operator never has to handle solvents to flush the system and end of day cleaning is quick and simple. If a metal spreader, with a solvent flushing system, is desired the machine can be equipped with this solution instead.
With the Barkvall 4700 it’s possible to increase production speed due to the servo-controlled metering pumps with dynamic mixing and workshop temperature control. This makes it possible for the operator to set an open time for each gluing layer and therefore shorten the press time, making it more cost effective.
It’s possible to use both 200L drum and/or IBC container for the material handling. The system has automatic control of material flow and coat weight.
