When Box Modul decided to replace their trusted adhesive machine with a new one, they turned to Aplicator Group once again.
The previous machine had served them well for 20 years, so why change supplier when the machines last that long? “They built the new machine specifically for us, and we are incredibly satisfied with the result. Working with Aplicator Group is like working with true professionals,” says Mattias Olofsson, Production Manager at Box Modul.
In Öjebyn, located in northern Sweden outside Piteå, service modules are produced for a wide range of industries and applications worldwide. Behind the manufacturing stands Box Modul, whose sandwich modules are delivered to sectors such as defense, healthcare, IT and telecommunications, as well as advanced cold chambers for electric vehicle testing.
To ensure smooth operations, reliable machinery is essential. One prime example is a four-meter-long and two-meter-wide adhesive robot from Aplicator Group. “This machine is incredibly important to us – perhaps the most important one in the company. It works on everything we produce and operates from morning to evening,” says Mattias.
The development of the new machine took a year, and as the first buyer of its kind, the advantages became evident when the manufacturing process began, according to Mattias. “We had certain requirements to achieve the optimal machine. Aplicator Group listened to us from day one, and we were able to point out small adjustments we wanted to make.”
Box Modul manufactures all modules from the ground up. These customized solutions maintain a very high standard of quality and are delivered to clients worldwide for a variety of purposes. “The modules are built using so-called sandwich panels, where the machine from Aplicator Group ensures that the adhesive is evenly distributed between the walls. Depending on the intended use, our modules can have up to ten different layers. It is therefore crucial that we can trust the machine to perform its task effectively,” says Mattias. With the new machine in operation, it will be a while before Box Modul needs another one. “This machine will certainly last for many years. We used the previous one for 20 years, even though its technical lifespan was estimated at half that time. That says a lot about the quality of machines from Aplicator Group,” concludes Mattias.
